Statement of Purpose
Introduction
The purpose of the Wisconsin Foundation Quarter Horse Association (WIFQHA) is to provide a not-for-profit organization for all people interested in the preservation and promotion of Foundation Quarter Horses.
Calculation of Foundation Percentage
In order for a horse to be considered for registration, 75% of his pedigree must trace back to the original 27,000 horses registered with the American Quarter Horse Association. No Thoroughbred may be closer than the fourth generation of the horse that is being registered. Impressive bred horses must be (N/N) HYPP and meet all other requirements to be accepted.
Registration Acceptance
All horses registered with a nationally recognized Foundation Quarter Horse association are eligible to show. You will find a complete list of this organizations under “Links”.
